Risk is all you need to take …
I called to check on one of the connections who approached me for CSC exam guidance. Next thing I know she said I am back to 🇮🇳 India, I guess Canada 🇨🇦 wasn’t for me. I nodded and said yes at the end of the day it’s your life, I’m sure you must have made the right call. It was the 4th International student in my circle who left Canada before the completion of their studies.
To my amazement she called me back after a month and
said, “I made a blunder, I should have waited, I don’t know what to do?”
I can understand, we are so far, life is hard,
managing so many things, competition is brutal, so many expectations to meet
and challenges to face.
But the reality of life is, “A person who
accepts every challenge is one who doesn’t have faith in Himself. A Self-Confident
Person Accept Challenges According to His Plans”.
You must decide the purpose, why at the first place you planned to Immigrate to Canada?
I simplify for you with my example, I am from Jalandhar City; I got a job 50 meters from my house. Everything was perfect. I used to get home cooked food every lunch hour freshly made, evening rides to farms.
But that’s not how growth happens.
So, I wrote a letter to my manager to give me the farthest transfer in the company.
I accepted the position with same pay, no increase, no relocating charges at that time I was earning only equalling CAD $327 a month in City like Pune of which 50% was my rent.
In my mind I knew whats my goal.
One thing I realized in those hardships that it only helps in developing the character.
If you go on LinkedIn and see that people are getting good jobs or fancy titles or on senior level management; then believe me, they have worked hard for it.
Since I came to Canada I spoke to more than 90+ Managers and their journeys gave me goosebumps; those stories kept me going for so long in Canada.
It’s just they don’t post it. All they post it the change in position as they must disclose it on the public platform because they are the faces of the company; all the stake holders have eyes on them.
Do not get intimidated by that. If you have any doubts about how they reached there, please message them, ask them about their hardships, ask for guidance.
If you came as an international student, then your priority is gaining Knowledge.
Try to understand the importance of knowledge?
Upon attaining the knowledge, do you have the desire of being useful to the society?
The truth is, in order to attain knowledge, one does not require to engage in Hard Work. Merely, concentration and dedication are required.
Knowledge is an effortless quality of the Soul.
Last but not the least, I saw a movie while ago called The Words and there was a dialogue in that movie. “We all make choices in life; the hard thing is to live with them”
